Firebird Launches CIS Region’s Largest AI Factory in Armenia

Firebird has launched the largest AI factory in the CIS region, establishing a pivotal new AI computing hub in Armenia. This significant infrastructure development, attended by high-profile government officials, marks a crucial step in the global expansion of AI capabilities. The factory is designed to provide the foundational computing power necessary for training, fine-tuning, and deploying AI models at scale, addressing the growing need for countries to develop localized AI solutions tailored to their unique languages, industries, and national priorities.

The technological backbone of this factory relies on NVIDIA accelerated computing and Dell Technologies' high-performance AI infrastructure. Built on the NVIDIA DSX platform, the facility integrates accelerated computing, networking, power, and cooling into a single, co-designed system for optimal energy efficiency. This innovative design allows for up to 40% more GPUs within the same footprint, maximizing computational output and cost-effectiveness. Firebird plans an ambitious deployment of over 70,000 NVIDIA Rubin and Blackwell GPUs and 300 megawatts of AI infrastructure in Armenia by the end of 2027.

This new AI factory is a transformative asset for developers, researchers, startups, enterprises, universities, and public institutions in Armenia and beyond. It provides the essential local compute resources required to build and scale advanced AI solutions, fostering innovation and accelerating the country's development as a center for AI research and advanced computing. With strategic investments from NVIDIA and CoreWeave, Firebird's vision extends to a broader regional infrastructure roadmap, promising to democratize access to cutting-edge AI compute across frontier markets.
